It is very important to get updated to every information about the country you are planning to visit. You should know all the basic rules and laws of that particular country. Carry printouts of the current information and keep it with you at all times while travelling.

Medication

Carry all your medicines because it may happen that you shall not be able to find some particular medicines in India. Here, dehydration and constipation are the common problems that affect tourists, so you may buy and carry some basic tablets from any local medical store. Therefore, a well maintained first aid kit is must for any travel adventure.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are essential if you are travelling to India. These will provide you protection against diseases like Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Influenza, and etc. A vaccine for the disease called rabies is also must for travelers. Because this disease can be fatal if it gets enhanced and is not immediately cured.

When to Go

India is a unique country where all types of geographical conditions are found. So you don’t have to waste your time in thinking about “When to visit India”. And yes, there are some places that become ultra-awesome during some particular time every year. For example, if you plan to visit Rajasthan then December and January are the suitable months and if you plan to visit other parts of Northern India then October and February are the suitable months. If you want to enjoy rain in India, then July to August is the time period. During July-August, The Western Ghats of Maharashtra is the best region to Explore. April, May and June remain very hot, so during this time period, hill stations such as Mussoorie, Nainital, Manali, Ooty, McLeodganj and etc. are the best choices.

Haste makes Waste. Don’t be in a hurry. Visitors often commit this mistake by simply trying to do much in a short time. One cannot see everything in a limited time. So make a list of particular places and plan wisely.

Get out of the city

If you want a true feel of India and its culture then leave the crowded cities and place your foot in to the villages of India. The major benefit of doing this is getting away from the hustle bustle of the overpopulated cities. Apart from villages, you can head up to the magical mountains of Uttarakhand and Himachal or to serene beaches of Puducherry and Kerala.

Get aware of what you eat and drink

There are lots of attractive and delectable dishes that evoke tourists and it generally happens that people just can’t resist themselves from trying those cuisines, this sometimes results in constipation and other stomach related problems, because generally people are not habitual to Indian spices. So if you are exploring India, that doesn’t means that you can rule out over street food. Try everything, but stay in your limits and try to stick to fruits and other healthy food products. Always choose bottled water. Avoid tap water and open street salads.
