Best Time to Visit:
The temple can be visited in any month throughout the year. The temple receives snowfall in winters during the month of December & January.
Timings for worship:
5:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
How to Reach:
By Air:
Jammu houses one civil airport, which is connected to Delhi and Mumbai airports. Helicopter service is also provided by government from Katra directly to the temple.
By Rail:
Jammu Tawi railway station is well connected to all the major cities in India. One can also reach Katra directly by train. A new railway station has been built by government and opened to people from July 2014. The name of this station is Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station.
By Road:
There are several buses going daily to Jammu from various major cities of India. From Jammu, one can board a bus or hire a taxi to reach Katra.

Yes, Pilgrims negotiate mules on the trek because the services are offered at a higher price than the Govt. approved prices and then people do bargain and make a deal.
