National Rail Museum

The National Rail Museum is located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The rail museum shows us the rich heritage of Indian rail. Spreading over 10 acres area and having about 90 real size exhibits like different types of locomotives, cranes, furniture, wagons, royal saloons, etc. Don’t forget to enjoy a ride on the toy train.

National Zoological Park

The National Zoological Park (formerly known as Delhi Zoo) is the main wildlife attraction in Delhi. It is located between Purana Qila and Humayun’s Tomb with an area of 176 acres. There are 2,000 animals located. In the park, you will see Tigers, Bears, Foxes, Cats, Coloured Birds, Elephants, Deers, Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, Leopards, Monkeys, African Wild Buffalo, Gir Lions, Zebras, etc.

- Main Attractions: The park houses 2000 animals representing almost 130 species of animals and birds from around the world.

The National Science Centre is located at Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan. The National Science Centre has seven exhibition galleries viz Science and Technology Heritage, Information Revolution, Human Biology, Pre-Historic Life, Fun Science, Emerging Technology, and Water.
- Location: Near Gate 1, Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan.
- Main Attractions: Galleries related to Science, 3D films, etc.
- Timings: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Nehru Planetarium

Nehru Planetarium is a very interesting place for kids. It is located near Teen Murti Houses. It shows us various artifacts about India’s adventures with space travel. The main attraction of the Planetarium is Soyuz T-10 through which India’s first Astronaut Rakesh Sharma traveled to space, along with his spacesuit and mission journal.

Indian Mountaineering Foundation is located at the University of Delhi South Campus on Benito Juarez Road. It offers various adventure activities like Rock Climbing, Rope Crossing, etc.
