On May 15, 2016, I went to The Lalit Hotel at Connaught Place in New Delhi to attend the Indiblogger meet. Although it was my second indimeet, but still I was too excited for this meet. The first one that I attended was also fantastic, but I couldn’t interact with the bloggers because that one was the biggest indimeet. As we know, more people result less interaction and vice versa, that’s why I was more excited for this meet. The meet was all about interaction between bloggers and the product launching of Horlicks. The theme of this meet was #CatchUpOnGrowth. I attended this meet with my friend who is a tech blogger, Arvind Kumar.
I reached The Lalit at around 12:30 PM and yes, this time I wasn’t late. As already mentioned in the schedule, the meeting started with the lunch. After the lunch, we joined the session. The meeting started with the introduction and interaction of newbie bloggers. After all this, a talk on growth of kids started and there were some prestigious doctors and physicians who joined this healthy talk. The discussion panel included Natasha Badhwar, Dr. Rajiv Chhabra, Ms. Satinder Kaur Walia and Dr. Jyoti Batra. They discussed about various problems like Malnutrition and issues which some kids have in their growing age.
Some key points that I learnt from the discussion

  • Milk contains 97% water in it. It means depending on only milk would not enhance your health.
  • We should take 40 minutes sunlight in the early morning to get vitamin D.
  • Start your day with health food and then have junk. (very useful for me).

Later, Amaan Khan, the Marketing Lead for Horlicks for the Indian Sub-Continent at GSK Consumer Healthcare talked about the new Horlicks product. He launched the product named Horlicks Growth +. The product is a verified solution for the kids of age between 3 to 9 years who lag behind in height and weight. It is clinically proven and one can see the visible growth in 6 months if taken in a right amount. Horlicks Growth + is available in two flavours, i.e., Chocolate and Vanila.

After the launching of the product, Dr. Aditya Kaushik, head of Medical Affairs for Indian Subcontinent at GSK Consumer Healthcare handled the mic and talked about the technical specifications of the product.
After having a coffee break, we played a game in which 8 teams were formed, each of 10 bloggers. Every team had to make a 30 seconds ad video for the product by using some objects. Our team name was Growth Hackers. The video making activity was fun. And in the end, we had a group photo.
